*Continuing my weightwatch series from my other blog.
I’m down to 209, a lotta pounds lost since I somehow, inexplicably, God only knows how-ingly ballooned to 230 a couple years ago. For a long time I remained in the 220 range and thought, man this must be my natural weight, because no matter how much I went down a few pounds, I always seemed to creep back up to the 220 or thereabouts.
My long term goal is to be 170, like I was back when Duran Duran were popular. But my short term since the beginning of the year has been to get below 210. I actually got below 210 a couple times before, once in 2014 and once in 2013. But both times I dipped below 210, something happened and I started back up towards 220.Usually something stressful will happen at work or in a relationship and in response I turn to my one true comfort: food.
So although I celebrate finally dipping below 210, I’m kinda wary. I fully expect something bad to happen. The question is will I use that “something bad” as an excuse to balloon back up again. If you’re out there fighting the battle of the bulge like me, best of luck to you!
