Yeah the ring is just a convenient way to put on the suit, as opposed to having to put it on manually in a phone booth or dark alley …it doesn’t give her powers.

Hmm, but she just got the ring in the beginning to get her costume… but she started flying now. Ok got that. But her skin used to be softer? Thats why she didn’t like being squeezed? Was the hard skin a relatively recent development?
