its brighter, cleaner, but less depth and shading. makes me think of the old sunday strips from the drama comics. I think it fits, at least for the storyline!

I’m gonna explore this artistic angle a little bit more and see what happens.
This particular rape scene seems a bit less humorous than your previous rapes. Rather dark, which is an interesting contrast with the art style.
hmm I know its not a rape scene (yet) though as a woman I have to say he made a major goof: telling Angela that he found out about her …. situation’ via the same means she would normally like to happen to her. Unless Supers a different than us mere mortal females, that is. Which could very well be.
I know a woman in ‘need’ has a firm belief that a good man is a hard find but a hard man is a good find. However, it turns off a lot of gals hearing the bragging of one’s conquest beforehand, especially to the theme of: “I’m here to save you from yourself & dull life, Sweetie!” A few of us women tend to think the next line from him will be: “Please! Save the applause for last.” lol I know, maybe its just me, and maybe this is just a comic so let’s wait for next week to see what happens.
(Okay, $20.00 says she gives him his walking papers & Harold has a big surprise for Angela.) lol No fair if we let Darrell hold the $$ since one of you guys may give him half. lol Only teasing you all.

I tend to agree with you here Susan, but Mr D has thrown us curve balls before .. maybe Captain Tomorrow has a trick up his sleeve that lets Harold be superpowered for a brief time, rather than a rape.
Looking at it again when I’m in a different mindset I can see where you’re coming from. He could be more of a Bugs Bunny type of character than a Peter Lorre type of character.

He hasn’t done the rape deed just yet, so we don’t know what his true intent is.

I see you haven’t read the comic entitled, “The Boys.”
Neither have I, although I’ve read “previews” of it over at CBR and Newsarama so I am sorta familiar with its dark take on superheroes. Of course, there’s a pivotal scene in Watchman (1988) where The Comedian sexually assaults the original Silk Spectre.
We’ll just have to wait and see how much of an A-hole Captain Tomorrow turns out to be

You may be right, Sheela, since Darrell has not only thrown us curve balls in the Past but also seemingly thrown the game til the last inning then do a grand slam (lol My grandpa was an avid baseball fan). ahh only TIME will tell what’s in store for Angela Zaftig.
Amazing how easily he keeps us under his spell and we can’t wait to see more of BM’s antics.

That’s like accusing somone for something they have not done.
I’m not saying he won’t, but at least be open minded, he is after all supposed to be a hero.
Well he IS a hero but some heroes are self-centered arse-holes (like Guy Gardner).
Well, true enough Mr D, not all “heroes” are Good Guy Heroes.
Sadly, no update this Monday. I did however get a lot of artwork and comic related stuff done in collaboration with other artists. I did art for Heroes Alliance which runs over at DrunkDuck and some lettering for Mad Jack (over at ComicFury). Maybe I’ll find time this week to finish the next page

My apologies, Sheela, for assuming that something bad would occur when he is in fact a hero. Perhaps he is more of a man than a hero and may find himself lured to the satisfaction of females as a part of his heroic abilities. I believe since this is a comic it is fictionally portrayed so perhaps the story is not as important than a longer running scenario such as what DC & Marvel often utilizes. I am not saying this is not as important as the others, just that in this case there is a certain amount of ‘freedom’ enjoyed by all of us following Darrell’s BM. I daresay that I am immensely pleased by the entertainment value I experience reading the Blonde Marvel and I am obviously a loyal fan of both Creator & his creation. KUDOs!!

Besides, this is the internet, one of the advantages to it is that we can have different opinions and not have to apologize for them.

sigh I am barely able to keep my sanity wondering if Angela is going to get the sh*t boffed out of her by Captain Tomorrow. It seems as though I have altered my views a bit from my original comment (oops! Could I be horny & not been with my hubby in a while?

Hopefully Darrell will not be swayed by my earlier comments & he will do what he wants to do regarding this episode. (By the way, I’ve a feeling that even if Angela thought like I did originally that after the sex she would be singing a different tune. xoxox)
