Yes! Another poll. Hey, I know it’s a pain but if we don’t exercise our right to vote, the terrorists win!
Well, it looks like the question of whether BM should have long or short hair will end up pretty much a draw. Long hair is edging out short hair but only by a couple of votes. And the “either/both” option is alternately in first and second place. Not very definitive. At least we don’t have to get the Supreme Court involved………………..yet.
So, my next question:
As you may know, I’ve toyed with BM’s costume over the years, changing this, tweaking that. Recently I’ve drawn her with a more modest uniform. I just figured that if her breasts are already enormous, why bring more attention to them? And besides, she’ll be naked soon enough
.
Cleavage+superheroines= a touchy subject. What’s the purpose of Power Girl’s boob window? Why exactly do Cat Woman and Black Widow need uniforms with zippers up front, while Superman and Captain America don’t? Do Cat Woman and Black Widow need quick access to their breasts for some reason?
Do women with extra large breasts have an “obligation” to cover up and not draw added attention to their goods? I watch Dog the Bounty Hunter, and I always check out Beth Chapman, Dog’s no-nonsense partner. Sometimes she has the girls covered up. Sometimes not. Either way she’s ready to kick somebody’s ass …or cuss somebody the (bleep) out. So wait, what were we talking about?
Oh yeah. The poll. So vote and let me know what you think.
Pulse: The Blue Bombshell
Can’t she do both, depending on her (and your) mood? You could have an ongoing subplot where Blonde tries out a new costume variation each episode. She seems the fashionable sort — doesn’t her alter-ego own a designer clothing store for large women?
Sure, you’d have to come up with new costume designs, but that could be part of the fun. And if you run out of ideas, you could have a costume-design contest.
Can her costume-ring be reprogrammed by the user? Or maybe the ring could be malfunctioning and it keeps giving her evil-mode stripper versions of her outfit.
So far it pretty much has depended on my mood…sometimes I feel like drawing the cleavage bearing suit, sometimes the newer, more modest suit…sometimes both within the same story (which is pretty much me forgetting which costume she’s supposed to be wearing–talk about wardrobe malfunction–or brain fart). But I thought I’d ask for reader input. I think I’m looking to standardize the costume once and for all. Believe it or not there are some readers who have no issue with a Power Girl or a Red Sonja showing her cleavage but are shocked that the Blonde Marvel would do the same. Big women aren’t supposed to be superheroes anyway, in their minds.
And yes, Angela is the proud owner/operator of Zaftig’s, a clothing store for “big and tall” women. But with the recession and all, the store hasn’t been doing so well…but more about that in a later story.
We’re here for the fan service.
Hope everything is okay.
