Thanks go to UED GUY for this wonderful page. Tune in tomorrow, race fans, for another shocking installment…
Me? Oh you wanna know what I’m doing? I’m working on yet another installment of Blonde Marvel. This one will hopefully hit the stands (er I mean your computer screen) beginning in January. You may wonder what happened to all the other Blonde Marvel stories from years past…the one where she fights a giant robot, or a hooded dominatrix, or foils a robbery at a coffee shop, or the recent one where she’s chasing down the evil Fritz Krieg…or on the other hand you might not wonder at all…
Not to change the subject but a lot of my favorite webcomics just up and died this year.
Antiseptic Poetry (once known as Less Than Kate) up and died a couple weeks ago. I enjoyed Kate’s adventures when she was a fat bottomed superhero named Sunflower Girl, not so much her mundane, slice of life gag a day adventures working in a tattoo parlor. But what can ya do?
Ethereal Legacies up and died a week ago too. Ethereal Legacies seemed more about pretty art and the occasional flash of boob than actual story. It’s story was set in someĀ middle earth fantasy mumbo jumbo with magic relics and magic elves. Never could figure out what was supposed to be going on but it had boobs.
Aikida, which died and came back to life three times (at least), the last time after an 18 month “hiatus” is dead once again. If I remember correctly, Aikida started as an early 2000′s gamer comic. Then turned into a comic about a demon. Then turned into a long form adventure comic set in an alternate fantasy universe. In the middle of that adventure the comic died (no resolution) and came back to life months later as a short-lived gag-a-day comic called “Mail Order Bride” which was about…well it didn’t last long enough to be about anything…then it came back after a year and some change, almost 18 months (!) as a gag a day comic about college life. (exhale). And it’s gone again.
Elle and All the Others is dead too. Died in mid storyline. No explanation as to where the mysterious Elle really comes from and why she came to our world. No explanation as to why she put that collar on Thomas.
But that’s webcomics for ya. They come and they go. Serves me right for reading “niche” webcomics anyway, right? I should be reading more established webcomics like PVP, Achewood or Gunnerkrig Court (whatever that is). Except that stuff bores me. That’s the only problem.

That brunette isn’t very smart. If she was looking for a trash can, she had only to look behind her.
